Vaal Wildlife Trail Runs

Come trail running in a wildlife park in the the scenic beauty of the Vredefort Dome UNESCO World Heritage Site outside Parys. The 2 day event in March 2015 was Runners World featured ‘Race of the Month’.

Our 2017 event will be a 1 day event on Saturday 18th February at The Dell on the Vaal Eden Road just north of Parys. It will feature the ever popular Antelope 15km and the family friendly 7km Wildebeest Trail Runs.

epilepsa-sa-logoThis event is a joint fundraiser for Epilepsy SA Free State and NW Branch and the Rotary Club of Parys as part of Epilepsy Week from 13th to 19th February. All profits go to good causes.

This event is great for couples and families. Combine races to suit you, your partner and your family

General information

  1. No refunds due to rain or lightning cancellations. This is a charity event in aid of Epilepsy South Africa and the Rotary Club of Parys who will share any profits 50:50.
  2. No licence needed
  3. As this is a trail run in a wildlife park:-
    1. No wheelchairs or pushchairs as the terrain is not suitable
    2. Not suitable for small children. Minimum age for Wildebeest Trail Run, 7 years
    3. No running with dogs or other pets or animals even if they are on a lead
